The other guy I’m going up there with has family there. He says they don’t really ask for anything much but they are asking now. He said that some of the people up there were having to shoot livestock because they can’t feed them. I do know that yesterday they got their first shipment of some supplies, but they will need more.

Got fuel and people at the gas station gave me more water and supplies. It’s fantastic the way everyone is pulling together here.

Another guy paid for my fuel.

Meanwhile local law enforcement has gone viral with over 1M views from @WallStreetApes urging avoidance of FEMA:

“By now, everyone's heard about what's going on in the western part of Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Florida, Georgia. Donate. Please donate what you can, try to find a nonprofit to donate to. Uh, church, local PD. A lot of those are taking donations, sheriff's departments. I know my department is running a bunch of stuff to the western part of the state to help donate, but please do not donate to FEMA. They are hindering a lot of what people are trying to accomplish out in the western part of the state.”
