20241008: FACTION LEADER GROUND REPORT (CANDLER, NC)
Delivery of vital supplies to isolated areas of North Carolina following Hurricane Helene has been concluded and the operational project placed in module stasis.

Had some conversations with locals at the Maple Ridge Drop site. They were VERY appreciative of effort and supplies from outside area/people. They told me there is no running water due to reservoirs being flooded, thus crippling the infrastructure for town water supplies. Power is back up and running, however. The Church is cooking hot meals as they can and also coordinating with other churches in the area to distribute supplies as needed.
- They stated they were concerned that they would be forgotten about after the initial “hero” stage had worn off.
I told them I would run it up the Chain of Command to see what I could do with the Company for organizing sustainment operations.
Personal observation:
- Asheville/Surrounding area will be in need of critical life sustaining supplies for the foreseeable future. The water pipeline has been destroyed and will have to be rebuilt. Topography changes will make this more difficult, as new plans will have to drawn up for engineering.
- I am noting that North of Asheville the Burnsville, Spruce Pine areas are also in need.
- Feds are now openly hostile towards Civilian efforts. See @megsnbacn on TikTok for documented footage.
- FEMA has abandoned the Bat Cave area near Chimney Rock/Lake Lure
- Boone, NC rural areas have been heavily damaged. Banner Elk is cut off from the outside. All roads in are gone.
